OUR MISSION:
The Namaste Works Arts Alliance (TNWAA) is on a zealously urgent mission to change the world one young adult performing artist at a time.
We are a non-profit, volunteer-powered organization dedicated to providing life-changing artistic experiences for talented young adults. We identify local young adult performing artists (singers/actors/dancers) from different cultural backgrounds and offer them incredible opportunities for expression, development and growth. We celebrate diversity and excellence while dispelling fear, and our one-of-a-kind programs will shine a light on the excellence of these young adult performing artists.

As participants in our 5-day (SUMMER 2020) Triple-Threat Masterclass series for proficient singers, actors, and dancers, students will hone their craft under the guidance, coaching and instruction of accomplished Broadway artists, while connecting with and learning from fellow students who share their artistic passions.

MEET THE INSTRUCTORS
JASON JA REED
DANCE & CHOREOGRAPHY EXPERT

Jason Reed began his first dance class at the age of 18, and by age 21, he was attending The Juilliard School, where he received in the year 2000 his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree (in Dance). Post graduation, he has expanded the scope of his fine arts expertise, producing, directing, choreographing, teaching and performing for companies, various shows, schools and ensembles.
Mr. Reed has worked and choreographed under the direction of the late international ballet star Rebecca Wright, and Eliot Feld at Ballet Tech in conjunction with the New York City Public School for Dance and the NYC Department of Education. Jason has worked with schools in the Arts and Education programs (Teacher Artist Partnership and Artist In Residence) in 12 different schools (in Cumberland and York Counties) since 2010 (in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts).
Additionally, Mr. Reed worked for companies such as Kamen Entertainment Group (for over 15 years); a full scale independent record label and entertainment company in NYC who have amassed over 140 awards since 1987. Under the tutelage of MARINA (Kamen) and Mr. Roy Kamen, Jason honed skills that span the entertainment spectrum.
Jason is the founder of ReachUSA, Inc. and Co-founder of FreshSet, LLC: A life style and social enterprise brand that focuses on providing quality products and services (in merchandising, entertainment, arts and education and consulting in the arts and business); while simultaneously building an infrastructure that will strengthen the financial success of local businesses, create a network for students to find employment and upward mobility opportunities, communities to become more unified and additional jobs and support for people with Autism and other special needs. CANDY BROWN
ACTING & BODY AWARENESS EXPERT

Candy Brown is an accomplished actress on stage, television and film and holds a BA in Performing Arts from St. Mary’s College of California. Ms. Brown began her professional career in musical theatre under the tutelage of legendary Broadway directors, choreographers and performers too numerous to list but who include mentors, Bob Fosse and Hal Prince.
As a proud member of Actors Equity Association (AEA), some of her Broadway shows are PURLIE, HELLO DOLLY and the original casts of PIPPIN, CHICAGO and GRIND. Candy was also an original participant in the history making workshop of A CHORUS LINE, her story is still in the show. Her first visit to Denver was as “Candy” in the first national tour of APPLAUSE with Eleanor Parker followed by work at the Denver Center of the Performing Arts (DCPA) in SOUTH PACIFIC, HOUSE OF FLOWERS, WAITING TO BE INVITED and STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE, as well as readings in their new play summit.
As Candy Brown Houston, a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild, Candy has appeared in numerous TV commercials, television programs (Chicago Hope, CSI:Miami, etc) and films (ALI, Baby Boy, Zebrahead, etc). She has worked extensively in regional theaters around the country as an actor and choreographer.
Since relocating to Denver eleven years ago, Ms. Brown has performed at DCPA, Curious Theater Co., LOCAL Theater Co., and the Telluride New Playwright Festival. She directed and choreographed ONCE ON THIS ISLAND for the Aurora Fox Theater and choreographed BIG RIVER for the Lone Tree Performing Arts Center (LTPAC). Candy was an actress in the two character play LOVE LETTERS done as a fully staged play rather than a staged reading and directed and choreographed the musical BEEHIVE also at LTPAC.
Most recently Miss Brown received a Legacy Award for dance in New York City.
NATALIE OLIVER-ATHERTON
VOICE & PERFORMANCE COACHING EXPERT

Hailing from small town PA, Natalie Oliver-Atherton had a dream to sing and see the world. This dream was clearly in alignment with her life path as she graduated from high school to go directly into rehearsals to become a soloist with America’s Youth in Concert at Carnegie Hall and then on to a 7-country Euro-tour. Upon her return to the states, and post college (BERKLEE COLLEGE OF MUSIC) SHE TOURED as a “band chick” and night club singer.
Her musical theater career BEGAN by accident WHEN SHE WAS offered her first Actors equity association (AEA) contract, culminating in her debut in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS. Moving to NYC she added off-broadway and broadway credits to her resume (JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, BLACK NATIVITY, COMFORTABLE SHOES) then on to Las Vegas to headline in the former Stardust Hotel’s original production “Enter the Night.”
Las Vegas lead to Monte Carlo headlining at Le Sporting Club as the guest of Prince Albert of Monaco. ONCE AGAIN, returning to New York she starred in THE WHO’S TOMMY (Canada, California, Germany) and made her Broadway debut in OH, KAY! opposite Tony winner Ron Richardson. As work begets work she was led to Colorado to star in A BRIEF HISTORY OF WHITE MUSIC at the Vogue Theater and then onto becoming Director or Music for international vocal ensemble - S.T.A.R.S. (Singers Taking Action Reaching Souls) and the International Music Exchange.
Her regional credits include INTIMATE APPAREL, TRAV’LIN - THE 1930’S HARLEM MUSICAL, MA RAINEY’S BLACK BOTTON, ANYTHING GOES). She has performedwith major orchestrasaround the world including the Colorado Symphony,Florida Symphony, and Sinfonia Goldcoast.
She has opened for Dr.Maya Angelou (Pepsi Center),and has sung all over the world from Canada to Monte Carlo, from Machu Picchu to Greece, all over Africa, Asia and the US. Her film and television credits include, “Mississippi Masala” opposite Denzel Washington and “Amazing Grace & Chuck” with Jaime Lee Curtis; “One Life to Live” and “Spenser:For Hire.”
Having enjoyed 40+ years in the industry currently it is the desire of her heart to pay forward her gifts, talents, abilities and passion to young people. As owner/performance coach/ instructor of her own vocal and acting studio (Namaste Works Vocal & Acting Studio)just outside of Denver, CO, she’s assisted many students who’ve been accepted into some of America’s most prestigious Colleges and Universities(e.g., Berklee College of Music, Boston Conservatory, Yale, NYU, Carnegie-Mellon, Juilliard, Pace University, Occidental, Marymount Manhattan, etc).
As a result of these amazing experiences she is inspired to make an even greater outreach and contribution as Founder and Executive Director of The Namaste Works Foundation d/b/a The Namaste Works Arts Alliance
(TNWAA) whose mission it is to change the world one young adult performing artist at a time. TNWAA is a nonprofit, volunteer-powered organization dedicated to providing life-changing artistic experiences.
We identify domestic & international young adult performing artists (singers/actors/dancers) from diverse cultural backgrounds and offer them incredible opportunities for expression, development and personal and professional growth. We are celebrating diversity and excellence while dispelling fear, and our one-of-a-kind programs will shine a bright light on that current excellence while foreshadowing the future brilliance of these amazingly gifted young adult performing artists.
